Anne-Marie Duff was born in London in the United Kingdom. She is an English actress. Duff has graduated from Drama Centre London in 1990 she made her debut television appearances on Trial & Retribution Amongst Women & Aristocrats. Anne-Marie Duff is a Britsih actress born on the 8th of October 1970 in Chiswick, London, United Kingdom. Anne-Marie Duff (8 October 1970) was an English stage-and-screen actress. She became famous for her character Fiona Gallagher on the first two seasons of UK television series Shameless. In the following seasons, she was the role of Queen Elizabeth I on the television series The Virgin Queen (2006) and also the lead role in the show From Darkness in 2015. Duff appeared the role of Enigma in Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters Notions on a Scandal (2007) French Film (2008) The Last Station, Nowhere Boy Before Go To Sleep (2014) and Suffragette (2005). The roles she played of Shameless The Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette garnered the actress BAFTA nominations in both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories. She was also given the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her performance in the 2007 television film The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff, an award-winning English actor who excels on stage has earned her place in radio and theatre productions with flair. Her fame was largely attributed to her character Fiona Gallagher from the British comedy drama Shameless. Anne-Marie has performed for more than 20 years onstage and includes many performances with the Royal National Theatre, is an actress with a lot of experience.
